Shooting down at Poole Quay again this afternoon - it was a bit bleak, but some things caught my eye, including this 'absentee angler'.

My very first firstview and I've got very little to contribute I'm afraid. This is about the best part of my very lazy day so far (I'm recovering from Friday night).

Mrs TFC, she's my FirstView every single day! - and I'm a better man because of it (so she tells me ).

The story: I took the camera with me today, with the intention of taking a picture of the Christmas lights (it's quite a good display this year), and feeling quite smug about having something other than my desk to post). When I got to work I discovered that I had forgotten the #@#@@! memory card.................. I could argue the case that it's still the 1st for me, since I haven't been to bed yet... Hope I am forgiven the lateness! Anyway: My bed, ten minutes ago, Panasonic Lumix.

The train now arriving on platform 1...
Derby station 09:41
I was waiting in my cab on the 09:49 Derby to Matlock service on platform 2 reading last weeks AP when this steam special service rolled in on its way to York. Grabbed a quick snapsot, hence the camera shake and blown highlights Fortunately I had time to take a few better ones too

This tree sculpture is one of the first thing that I saw when leaving the Hotel in Saas Fee. Taken at 10:00 on the 1st December. He's obviously very pleased to receive visitors to Saas Fee.

Was in the Millennium Stadium on Saturday evening for Wales Rally GB. The lighting levels were well down on last year, unfortunately, which has made most of my shots come out very dark (even on ISO3200). However the spotlights were used on the tribute to Colin McRae and Richard Burns:
