bought leica v-lux. 2 days ago.
worked for 1 hour fine.
now when i turn it on in any recording mode, i hear a whirring noise and error message- please turn camera off and on again, comes up- over and over again.
playback works fine.
what's up?

Does the lens come out? Sounds like the lens positioning sytem has gotten jammed.
It sounds like a warranty repair/replace job to me...

its an internal zoom.
it might be related to the focussing.
i beleive i will take it back to the store tomorrow.

You should certainly take it back for a replacement. Your camera is a Panasonic in all but name and you should insist on a replacement.

took it back. it was immediately replaced.
