Hi everyone
I haven't yet bought CS3 but i think I am going to need it as I haven't got curves on module 3 and this is the only photo editing software programme I have!
I used Lightroom (BETA) a while ago and that had curves but when processing RAW images could that be used for jpegs as well or am I barking up the wrong tree?

The free software The Gimp has Curves - check out this week's (Tuesday next if you're not a subscriber) AP for a review and if you need it you can get it free from here -

Hope that helps,

....which I can vouch for too. I use PS6 on my desktop but needed something small and useful on the laptop so I tried The Gimp. It's an excellent program and I think the curves tool is better than the one in PS6 as it seems to have finer control

Just downloaded Gimp and it works a treat!
So no need for CS3 now as this is going to be sufficient for me with Elements 3.0, but then again should consider CS3 at that price before i finish the course though!
Thanks for the good advice its much appreciated!
