This cant be right!
      #462959 - 06/04/2007 18:12

It seems my FZ7 is saving all its pics at 72ppi!
I could save as TIFF but I'd need a bigger card the amount of pics I get through!(currently have a 512MB card)

I'll have to look thru the menus again but has anyone else encountered this?

So what? As long as the number of pixels in the image equates to the quality you want, the PPI is irrelevant.

But I thought 72 ppi was low quality, good for websites but not that good for printing! Having said that I have since made 2 prints on A4 paper at about 10x8, and tho theyre quick printys on ordinary typing paper the results looks pretty good!
I think I must have been misleading myself somewhere!
Thanks for putting me straight David!

I actually thought the same but out of curiosity I downloaded one of my own images from flickr (800x600 @72dpi) and printed it to see what it would be like. At A4 it looked ok.
I thought it would have been noticably pixelated

you cant change it, not even if TIFF mode, and it seems theres no need to!

Are you mixing PPI with DPI? PPI is useful for screens, DPI is needed for printing.
