sony A65 or nikon d5200
I have owned and used a Minolta 7000 for approx the last 20 years, not used so much the last 10, and have two minolta lenses (Minolta AF zoom 80-200 4.5-5.6 and Minolta AF zoom 28-85 3.5-4.5). I believe these lenses would be compatable with the Sony A65. This is were my problem arises do I purchase the Nikon D5200 which beats the Sony in nearly all reviews I've seen or purchase the Sony A65 to use the lenses I all ready have.
Any advise gratefully received.
Welcome to the forum. Your Minolta lenses should work on a new Sony, not being a Sony user I don't know if you would lose any functions, also your lenses are quite old now. I would take a look at the D5200 and take it from there. Hope this helps... Graham
hi i would look at the starting again and looking at cameras with the view that you didnt have any previous kit.
Thanks for the advice gents. Just took delivery of a d5200 with 18-55 and a 55-300 lens and having a play this evening.
Congrats on your new camera
