D3100 or d5100?
Hi, This is my first DLSR i like to purchase. I had set myself on getting the D3100 at Christmas time and have waited til now as learnt alot from my photography course.
The weather should pick up so be nice to get my purchase in next month.
I was set on D3100 like said just seen price of D5100 and only £90 difference. Was wondering wether pay extra or stick with D3100 and use the £90 towards a 2nd lens
I still need to look into a tripod and bag so a package would be useful or any tips in them would help.
I must go check the D5100 out in shops. Appreciate people taking time to read this.
hi i would look at the 3200 and the 5100. I have said in another thread that the 5100 would be my choice but as you are starting out the 3200 maybe better for you. also look at canons 1100d and 650d
Between the D3100 for the money dont think worth getting the D3200. I know when comparing the D3100 With the Cannon 1100D i opted for D3100 because didn't feel as cheap plasticey as Cannon and got grip to hold camera better.

I would look at the D 51000 , it gives more for your money ,things like mirror delay, auto bracketing ,and less noise at high ISO's
It depends on the sort of photography you do. The D5100 has a higher resolution vari-angle LCD screen, a couple of extra megapixels and a few more features, butif you're intererested in sport, wildlife etc you may be better off putting that extra £90 towards a telephoto lens.
