Lost detail

Having taken once in a lifetime shots in Greenland I am very disappointed with the results. It was a rainy day at sea, lots of mist, very grey cloudy skies, grey sea and white glacier so very little detail in shots. How can I recover some of the lost detail please? I shot in Raw so have a slight chance!
