I'm currently using a Nikon D7000, my question is would i benefit from upgrading my current lenses. I'm currently using a Nikon 18 ~ 70mm and a Sigma Nikon fit 10 ~ 20mm
When this magazine site review them they were rated in the 90% area.
My thoughts are currently to upgrade to a Nikon 16 ~ 85 VR and a Nikon 10 ~ 24 wide angle. Can anyone advise me as the ratings on these are down in the 80% range.
The two lenses you currently have are nice optics, and swapping over to the two lenses you suggest will produce little if any noticeable difference to your shots, though you might find the Vibration Reduction handy when handholding shots.
If you're looking to upgrade, then we'd suggest you take a look at getting a faster standard zoom with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 - the optics will be better, while you'll also be able to get some really nice shallow depth-of-field shots and shot in poorer light conditions handheld. Take a look at the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM for around £489.
Thanks Phil bought it from Amazon and like it very much.
