Travel Zoom camera advice

Hi,

Thanks for the replies before things went off on a tangent! :-)

I've narrowed my search down to either the canon sx260 or the Sony hx9v/hx20v??

Could people please suggest their preferences and a quick why??...I'm all reviewed out! Thanks!
