Hello!
I am very new to photography and a mate has asked me to photography his wedding. It's at a registry office and it's next week (Saturday 5th Feb) I won't go into the ins and outs of why it's so soon but I really need some pointers.
I have a Canon 60D with not external flash or any 'add ons'. I do have a tripod though. Are they any basic do's and don'ts that I should be aware of? Basic composition, apperture etc?!?

Introduce yourself to the Registrar before the ceremony, they usually advice on the best place to stand for the shots throughout the ceremony, and what you can & can't photograph, and will give you a nod when you're OK to take photos of the couple posed signing the register
Don't obstruct the guests' view of the ceremony. Your name will be mud if the bride's mother missed half of the ceremony because you were stood infront of her ;)

Sounds fun. Probably the best advice I could give is to shoot A LOT. If you need to buy more memory cards, it will be worth it. Have a look at the best wedding photographers to get inspiration, and try to strike a balance between the 'must-have' staged shots and a more documentary coverage of the unguarded emotions.
