Whenever I upload my photo's to the computer they never go on in the order I have taken them. I use a canon 450 and G6. Is there any way to avoid this or have i got to write everything down.:(

I don't know that camera myself, but I think it might be to do with your computer folder view
The images will be taken in a numerical order, when you upload to the computer you'd need to view the folder in a similar way (right click in the folder - Arrange icons by - Name & Auto arrange)

If you are using Photoshop Bridge you can set Bridge up to do it all as you want.
