Well worth a look...
Extract - These vivid colour photos from the Great Depression and World War II capture an era generally seen only in black-and-white. Photographers working for the United States Farm Security Administration (FSA) and later the Office of War Information (OWI) created the images between 1939 and 1944.

Yes, there are some great photos in the Library of Congress archives. I'm a bit surprised they've appeared on Flickr, though; and more surprised that they "invite your tags ..." - that's open season for some twonkers.

Hopefully the graffiti wil be cleaned up periodically.

I did not see that, I viewed as a slide show & missed it all, very powerful pictures, very emotive...
