Well I suppose this test shows a low quality lens for what it is, unfortunately I only have a Nikon 18 - 135 and a sigma 10 - 20. I will press on regardless.

I used a Nikon 105mm VR micro for this test. Think you will find it easier to fill the frame with a longer lens rather than wide angle and 18-135 should be fine at longer end. I have a Sigma 10- 20 and reckon it is a great wide angle lens.
