I had a similar problem with my 18-200mm. Try stopping down to F11(ish) I eventually carried out the module using a 50mm F1.8 prime lens which is of a much higher quality than either of our zooms.
am just about to start this module and the 50mm 1.8 lens was the one I had in mind to use - cheers
