TBH you're probably better off using your card reader to transfer images to your PC, as it will be slightly faster than transferring from your camera. However, the USB link should work too.

I'm assuming that your camera is the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ18? If so, the supplied drivers should work OK. I installed mine without any problems, running under XP. What Operating System are you running on your PC? Are you using the supplied USB cable? Have you tried the USB cable in a different USB port on your PC?

If all else fails, you could try the following:-

- disconnect your camera
- Go to control panel, add/remove programs, remove all Panasonic software
- Reboot your PC
- With your camera still disconnected, re-install the supplied software (that came with your camera)
- Connect your camera

Oh - and be sure to install SilkyPics SE that comes with the camera. If you shoot in RAW, you'll need SilkyPix to process/convert the RAW image files.
