Hi All,

I bought the above camera to take on safari with me and was not disappointed with the results. We got some amazing photos using solely the intelligent auto function. Unfortunately i didn't have the time before going to learn about all the other options available.

One thing i did notice however is that the camera would often focus on something as small as grass in the foreground rather than the subject of the photo (i.e. a lion).

Can someone please explain to me briefly how i can manually change this??

I'd also be grateful if someone could recommend a good beginners book to photography that explains all the functions of the camera, i.e shutter speed, iso, etc.. to an absolute beginner.
