I bought a San Disk Extreme 111 (1GB) as the price (7 Day Shop) had dropped to under £10 and I thought it was so little more than the cheapest that it was worth trying. I use an FZ20, so the card limit is 1GB, but the FZ30 probably takes a bigger card (2GB?) Was it worth the extra? Amazingly so. I thought all this issue of extra speed would not affect a slowish camera. In fact it has enables me to take a series of shots a lot quicker and it does seem to offer a measurable gain. Not very scientific, but I just shot a series of pictures for a full minute. 86 with a standard card - 132 with the Extreme 111. Yes, it does what it says on the label - speed up the writing process. I can find no real difference in uploading speed, though that is probably more a factor derived from the age of my computer. On the quality front? Can't see any improvement, but then I rarely look at things at pixel level Paul |
