In our test in the April issue of WDC, we found it wasn't so much noise that was the issue but the heavy-handed noise reduction which 'bled' colours into each other. At low ISOs and on Raw this shouldn't be a problem at all, so best sticking to these. Incidentally, I had a play with the new FZ18 model at Panasonic's press launch last month, and I have to say that the camera did impress.
