What bit of Lincolnshire are you stuck in?
Spalding.... but at least in Kent (away from the north coast) there were castles, valleys, walks, trees, substantial history. South Lincolnshire is devoid of anything much with positive connotations. Weekend events in summer generally seem to be poorly attended and half hearted. I even avoid the hospitals here in Lincs and head for Peterborough & Addenbrookes due to certain ongoing issues.
