Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar problem? Problem: Windows Vista running machine won't connect to internet via ethernet or wireless. The wireless router works fine as I've connected an XP running machine via ethernet and my work laptop wirelessly with no problems. The drivers on the Vista machine are all up to date and it says the are fine. At a loss with what to do I phoned a local repairer and he asked who my ISP was and then said this happens a lot recently with Virgin/NTL. I know he's not fleecing me as he said he run a diagnostic and IP work around should fix the problem (which he said he could do for free providing there are no hardware problems). Just wondered if anybody else had such an experience with Virgin/NTL? Sees rather odd to me? |
