I find AVG reasonably good but I try to run Clamwin at least once a week, as it seems more-in-depth at scanning for nasties..

The new 'freebie' from AVG is available version 8 and it seems to be so uch better than version 7.5. The updates are quicker and the scan times for the whole data base are quicker too.
