HI, i,m using the panasonic FZ30 but i feel i,m not getting the best out of the SD card supplied (not sure what the write speed is?) can someone recommend the best card and "highest" rating possible for this camera?

I bought a San Disk Extreme 111 (1GB) as the price (7 Day Shop) had dropped to under £10 and I thought it was so little more than the cheapest that it was worth trying.
I use an FZ20, so the card limit is 1GB, but the FZ30 probably takes a bigger card (2GB?)
Was it worth the extra? Amazingly so. I thought all this issue of extra speed would not affect a slowish camera. In fact it has enables me to take a series of shots a lot quicker and it does seem to offer a measurable gain.
Not very scientific, but I just shot a series of pictures for a full minute. 86 with a standard card - 132 with the Extreme 111. Yes, it does what it says on the label - speed up the writing process. I can find no real difference in uploading speed, though that is probably more a factor derived from the age of my computer.
On the quality front? Can't see any improvement, but then I rarely look at things at pixel level

I was going to say for faster downloads you will want to look at an external reader.. the Extreme from sandisc for example.. but then I read-

I've just purchased a 4gb SDHC card with a calss 4 rating from Memorybits with a free reader for £17!
It is soo soo much quicker than my normal 1gb sd card.
Im using it in an FZ18, and i couldn't be happier. Read/write times are instant!
