I've just rented my first lens, a Canon 400mm f5.6L from LensesForHire.co.uk. The service has been superb, emails from Stewart keepinmg me up to date with the progress of the order up to despatch. The lens arrived Mon, the hire period of three days is Tues-Thurs and I have to return it on Friday. I can't imagine I'll need that 'special' lens all that often, but I wont hesitate to use them again.

Trouble is, the weather's crap.

I have one of these, it is the best long telephoto lens that I have used, it does not see a lot of use, but I picked it up secondhand at a reasonable figure from a local independent photo store, so if I was to sell it there would be little or no loss.

Might be the exact same lens I hired. Nice lens and hiring it saved me a heap of cash as I don't think I will ever buy one. But I agree, the service was super and will use them again.
