I've just bought the HSM 1, but I've just found this trawling through e bay - looks like a bargain sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM II

It's not that cheap. You've got the insured shipping to pay for and then you will pay 6.7% import duty and then VAT on the cost plus shipping plus import duty and any charges the shipper might make. And you have the risk that HMCE will use a tariff rather than what you paid to calculate the duty and VAT and after all that you may only get a US warranty.
