Hotmail live sign-in
      #672458 - 30/06/2008 07:52

Anyone else having this problem? Ever since Hotmail became Windows Live Hotmail, whenever I sign in, my password is always rejected as incorrect the first time I try, but if I re-type it for a second go, I get signed in OK ... this is when logging in via the "hotmail.com" page that links to the sign-in page.
If I sign in via "messenger" and click the link to my hotmail messages, I don't have a problem

Perhaps it's the 'saved' password in IE that is out of date.

Have you changed your password recently? If so the one in the box might still be the old one.

Try typing in your password in the box on the first time rather than the second time. If it is a new password it should then remember it.

Password was changed about 2 months ago. I have the same issue whatever computer I use (1 at work, 2 at home; one at work is set to NOT remember me, the 2 at home do remember me), and I sign in at least once every day

Funnily enough I get this as well, I always thought it was my ham-fisted typing...
