Module 5 how many pictures do you want from me??!!
      #581903 - 11/12/2007 23:06

Hi everyone

I need some clarification on module 5.

Now I do understand what the module is about and feel confident in how to tackle it but I am totally lost with how many images are required in the first part of the module???!!

What do they want from me as the wording seems to contradict itself on page one of two when compared to two of two??

I'm unsure on how the sets are made up and to be honest I'm now looking at module 6 as I'm becoming frustrated with Module 5!

I can do this Module no problem, but concerned that I may end up submitting less or indeed more photos that is required, can I have some confirmation of this please???

It could be on the other hand that I am totally stupid and it's clear for all to see, but I can't and need some guidance.

Many thanks

Matt

When the course was first designed this was a fairly simple task but since then the number of options has ballooned and as you no doubt realise the options are so many and so could be the number of pictures in this module.

Realistically I would submit -

Part A

A picture taken with your main daylight setting with daylight + same picture taken using auto white balance

A picture taken with tungsten light using your first tungsten option + same picture taken using auto white balance

A picture taken with florescent light with the florescent setting + same picture taken using auto white balance

Part B

Taking a single scene photograph it using Daylight, Auto and using your custom white balance as detailed in the module book.

Part C

Take a picture using a 'wrong balance' creatively.

And if my maths is right - it frequently isn't, that adds up to ten pictures - hope that seems doable now,

Good luck,

Garry

Thanks for the advice Garry.

I had visions of submitting either too little or to the extreme, a memory card full of photos.

I shall crack on now and get this module wound up by Christmas.

Kind regards

Matt
