This is my first posting in these part (thanks Laura )
So hope you don't mind an interloper
Anyway, why am I here? Basically we are organising a course meet-up in Cambridge on Sunday 24 June at 10am. We will start at the American Cemetery and go into Cambridge from their. I will post a full itinerary closer to the date once I know what is open and what's not.
The invite is for anybody on either of the courses (and I think my missus even said she would come along which is great as I've got a taxi home ). Doesn't have to be just us locals, but anybody with the inclination
As far as I know, it will be just us students, so we can learn from each other.
I will not be punting as that is one lesson I have learnt from

Thanks for the heads up Richard . I'm free on the 24th so I'm planning to be there (assuming SWMBO has signed my pass!! )
Is it easy to get to the meet by foot from Cambridge station? as travel by train is an option I'll be looking into - though as I work on the railway and know just what a PITA rail travel is on a Sunday I may opt to drive anyway!!

Hi Chris, Cambridge station is walking distance from the centre of Cambridge (colleges, river etc) but not to the US cemetery where we will meet first. There are several options, from the cemetery we can meet you in town slightly later or you can get a taxi to the cemetery from the station or I can pick you up from the station to go to the cemetery. Why not get the Cambridge Tour bus that I believe takes in both the station and the American Cemetry? It stops at both places and if you have a round trip ticket, you can hop on again to go back to the city centre and then onto the station again (provided you plan to leave before the bus stops running).

Sounds like a good day out chubbster! I won't be coming along as it's a bit far to travel on a Sunday & go to work the next day. Our holidays are odd as they run from July to June so I haven't got many left, otherwise I would have taken Monday morning off. Hope you all have a great day and look forward to seeing some good pics! Lisa.
