Module 5 - struggling to find flourescent lighting for part A Well, actually there's no shortage of tubes, just a shortage of ideas for interesting images to take in the mundane locations this stuff is found

Hi, I'm making slow progress through the course. Having finally completed module 2 a month or so ago, I have yet to start module 3 (more pressing deadlines, lots of excuses etc etc!!). I'm off on holiday today so nothing's going to happen until I get home - but we're going to the pembrokeshire coast, which looks stunning, so I'm hoping to get a bit of time out to do some landscapes (not my strongest area, so don't hold your breath!!!). I've already packed the tripod - just better make sure I remember the camera!!! Carole

Hi Matt,
I'm still thinking about Mod 5 - I've taken a couple of sets for 'cloudy' but don't like 'em! Feeling a bit more enthusiatic today as the sun is out, the skies are blue etc. Some of the blossom trees are spectacular! I wonder what the weather's going to be like at the weekend - probably be 'intersting sky' now that I need it to be 'cloudy'!! Lisa.

I am working on Module 4. It took 6 weeks to get Modules 1 and 2 marked what do others find is the normal turnaround time? I am about to post module 3 and I wonder how long it will take to come back.

I feel better for that now as for a minute I was worried that you might all have said you were on module 10!
I have completed 90% of Module 3, just need to get my backside into gear to finish it. Going to be investing in CS3 as my version of Photoshop (elements 3.0 for Mac) doesn't have curves and at £217 this version of CS3 is a steal!
I aim to have module 4 well underway by the end of this month.

At last I have finished Module 3 and it is due to be posted in the morning!
It may sound daft but a great wave of achievement fills me when I send off each module and a semi nervous feeling greets me when it comes back from marking.
It's similar to the feeling many of us experienced when we you used to use film, when the photos were sent off and we then waited for them to come through the letter box, often with mixed results!

You lucky thing! I am still struggling with module 2 - well, I think it's all done, just need to put it on the USB thingy and write lots of comments. I could not find the forum page anywhere for ages, so I feel I missed out on loads
I am away on holiday all June, so I will be working on Module 3 in July (unless my tutor tells me to do Module 2 again because I've completely misunderstood the point and it's a load of rubbish...)
Sorry about the long message, I am making up for lost time.

It's not that long a message Tee! You haven't seen me when I get going. I'm sure you've done a great job on mod 2. Lisa.

OH thank you, you are making me feel so much better I was really happy with my pictures to start with but am finding I feel less and less confident as time goes by This forum really helps though, especially when I manage to find the bits I want etc...

Hi Fozz, I am only on Module 2 but my Module 1 pictures were marked very quickly (within a week or so I think). It took me by surprise because I was expecting it to take longer. I am about to send off Mod 2 and hope to get it back a bit quicker than you did. Hope your Module 3 comes back marked quicker Tee

Err still haven't got round to writing up Module One. Been enjoying taking the pics but instead of finishing I've been drawn into Module Two instead. Very naughty.

Hee hee! module 3 is now packed up and ready to be posted tomorrow morning!! After a bit of a long break from the course (not entirely deliberate - holidays + double chicken pox [the kids, not me] + bad nights all contributing), I had a bit of a blitz this week and got it done.
I have a slightly uneasy feeling after the long slog of module 2 that it hasn't taken me long enough to justify finishing a module, but I'm going to send it off anyway and hope for the best!
Looking forward to getting curvy with mod 4

Well done Carole TBH there's not a lot to mod 3 and I had it done fairly quickly but then held off sending it through wondering if I'd missed something fundamental but no, I think they've put an easy one in after the trials and tribulations of mod 2!
