Hi, I looking to buy a new camera but haven't got a clue which to get. I want a compact digital camera & have a budget of about 300. I will be taking pictures both inside & outside & of family & animals mainly dogs & horses. I would like something which has a good zoom & produces great image quality.
Experienced help would be much appreciated. Thank you :)

Sorry I should have mentioned that I want a camera which is compact enough that I can carry around with me on a day to day basis :)

Those Bridge cameras that Wave suggested look big on paper but are not that big in the hand. See if you can try before you buy.

If it has to be smaller. Then the Canon PowerShot SX280 HS is worth a look. It uses a 12 Mega Pixel sensor for better low light photography (the less mega pixels, the less noise/grain) for indoors etc.
