Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30

Hi all

I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ30 bought in the autumn, but I want the best of the best now.

The plan is to give this one to my wife and get a DSLR for me now with the Christmas offers:

Does it worth it? Can you feel the difference with a DSLR? I never had one before...

Hi and welcome.

Both those DSLRs are a good choice. You need to try them both before you buy, so they feel comfortable in the hand and menus and controls are right for you.

DSLRs require more input as images are no longer all in focus like the TZ30. However, images are far superior in quality and low light shots are better due to the larger sensor.

Just got a new DSLR, CSC, Bridge or compact? Then take a look at Canons basic tutorials and learn how to use your camera. This applies to all makes of camera..

In Part 2 you will learn how to get the most out of your photography and find out about ISO, Exposure, Depth of Field, Aperture priority, Shutter priority etc in picture form Click for tutorial (http://web.canon.jp/imaging/enjoydslr/index.html)

And don't forget. Post processing is an important part of photography and should be used to sharpen and enhance pictures taken with your camera.
