I would say between £100-£500 and kit wise I have s95 canon and a dx40 Nikon, but I must stress I do not want a light weight tripod. Thanks
hi i would look giottos mtl range and the vanguard alto and manfrotto all are good heavy tripods. they also have centre columns that swing through180 degrees which may well be of use to you. next you will have to buy a head for it, the choice is ball or a three way this would be down you, personnel choice

Don't know if this will help ,I was in Comet today looking for a bargain and saw a lot of Manfrotto tripos and monos there all sizes and all at 20% discount. I bought a Manfrotto monopod that I'll never use for under £20
