filters?

I have finally found a lens converter for my Nikon P510 so I can attach 58mm filters.Now can someone recommend me a good UV filter and a polerizing filter that are good quality and will not distort the image and are at a reasonable price.
Also I would like to use a lens hood with them( not sure if its needed with the polerizing filter?)

Hi Sumo.
I use Tiffen uv and circular polarisers I find them really good filters at a reasonable price. You could also look at Hoya's. Hope this helps ... Graham
