canon 550d and which lens?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a canon 550d but not really sure whether to go for the 18-55mm/55-250mm or the 18-135mm kit.

I'm on a bit of a tight budget, at the moment both kits are about the same money so it's one or the other.

Should I go for the convenience of the single18-135mm lens or the more versatile18-55mm/55-250mm twin lens kit.

I wouldn't say there is a particular type of photo I will be taking, but will I regret not having the reach of the 55-250mm lens.

The more reviewsI read the more confusing it seems to get!

Any advice would be a great help.

Hi and welcome you wont be disappointed with the 550d/T2i, its a really great camera. the best option IMHO is the 18-55 plus the 55-250. the 18-55 is a better lens than the 18-135. the 55-250 really punches above its weight where it counts and thats in image quality stakes. good luck
