View Full Version : Which Tripod

I am considering buying a better tripod, and the two I've shortlisted are the Giottos MTL 9361B and the Manfrotto 190XPROB The Giottos seems more versatile with its 180 degree centre column, but any input or recommendations for other makes will be very welcome.
many thanks

I upgraded from a Manfrotto 190.DB to a Giotto 9351B . The Giotto is much more versatile specially for macro shots as well as that it sits higher so you rarely have to pull up the centre column. Have to say though i think the Manfrotto is better made. Hope this helps ... graham

As per my experience, I think you should better go for FILMCITY Liten Package (http://www.flycamshoppe.com/fc/FILMCITY-Liten-Package-4ft-Studio-Jib-Stand-And-Floor-Dolly.html) which would be more beneficial.

In the price you are purchasing a single accessory i.e. Tripod (http://www.flycamshoppe.com/fc/Proaim-75mm-bowl-head-tripod-stand-P-BW-75-with-spreader-with-75mm-fluid-head.html). You can purchase a whole jib which is best investment in place of tripods and at such a price. In this package, you'll be getting jib, stand and a floor dolly. According to me, in the place of purchasing one single tripod in $250, you can purchase jib stand and a floor dolly.

It stabilizes your camera perfectly while moving it through space around creating graceful, sweeping moves that you just can’t get any other way. If you'll be purchasing a whole package, you'll be saving around 20% - 30% cost. So, it is beneficial for you to buy.

Check out here.
