Which external flash should i buy???

I currently have a Nikon D5000 with a Sigma 18-200mm lense. Im an amateur photographer that uses my camera for taking pics of the kids indoor and outdoor, i also take it to any family parties etc
Can anyone advise me on which external flash to buy? I dont really want to spend over £100 if thats possible, i would like a flash that tilts up so i can bounce the light off the ceiling to prevent shadows that i currently get with the built in flash. Does anyone know if Metz are a decent manufacturer?

Hi .Check out the marumi range they cost about the £100. I use one on my d5000 and have no complaints. That said though i don't use flash much... graham
