Fuji s2500

I have received a Fuji S2500 as a Christmas present and am disappointed with the LCD. When using the camera indoors the live image has severe blue graining and is very blurry and slow to update - I haven't have this problem with other cameras, is this normal with the Fuji or do I need to send for a replacement? Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with a S2000HD, and could not get any satisfactory answer from the retailer, so I sold it. The pictures were OK though.
