hi everyone
i'm hoping to upgrade an ancient nikon and want something not over expensive , i have had a look and so far the lumix dmc lx3 is sticking out as a contender even though it has been around for a couple of years , is there anything else i should consider ? i don't want anything too bulky or over complicated

thanx

It depends what you're after. We call a bridge camera something like the Panasonic FZ38, which is a compact with a very large optical zoom. if you're after a compact with manual controls, such as the LX3, I can recommend the Canon S90 as it's comparatively small and has full control over shutter speed and aperture, as well as an adjust ring around the lens.

I am also looking for a bridge camera. I am thinking of the

Fujifilm S2500HD

and the S1900

I don't know which is better so I'll leave it up to you..
