Sony 75-300mm f4.5-5.6 DT Lens

This is regarding the Sony 75-300mm f4.5-5.6 DT Lens which is around £180. I am new to DSLR photography and this would be my first additional lens to the one that came with my camera. Does anyone have any experience with this lens?

Also, will this lens work with the Sony A550?
