Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone could help me i'm after a new camera and have been searching and researching eg reviews sample images i would like a camera thats good at wildlife, lanscapes, close ups, holiday pics etc .

I would be willing to spend 300 on the camera itself but also i would like to do a course on photography so i can understand better the processes of taking great pictures as well as learning to get the most out of my camera i have looked at a lumix lx3 and the sample pictures i have seen are gorgeous also is a large zoom really necessary for my needs.

here's hoping for some advice

Excellent camera - in a class of its own :)

However, if you want zoom (for wildlife) then go for the Panasonic TZ7 - HD video is good as well :)

Review here (http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2009/03/21/Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-TZ7/p1)

Read what 61 users think (ZS3 is US version of TZ7) (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read_opinions.asp?prodkey=panasonic_dmczs3)

I shoot with one and its simply the best all rounder in its class :)

See my post on the zoom range (http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/801015/an/0/page/1#801015)
