There's not much to the humble grey card, but the Douglas Grey Card Mark II does go the extra mile.
It is said to reflect the same proportion of all colours of light falling on it, and is coated in plastic to ensure it can be cleaned. You can also use the white otherside for checking exposure and white balance, while its rigid construction means it should last a good few years without wear.
Including postage and packing it isn't cheap, but for the well-heeled photographer it may well prove invaluable.
