What kind of review is this? The optical quality really stands out for a lens of its price, some reviewers gave it equal optical quality to canons 70-200. And sure the AF is noisy, but defentively not slow on a sony a700 body for a tele-lens. It's not a workhorse for the sport/action photographer, but serves well in almost any other condition. You don't either love or hate it, you love the quality and feel, but you disslike the AF. It also comes with a petal-hood. Not bad ey.

+1 AF noisy and little slow. optical quality better than 17/20.
