Apologies for that - it was a typo. The D4 is capable of 30/25/24fps at 1080p

Think a D4s or D4x is coming soon with higher resolution, and is it worth the wait.

In Program mode the D4 is fine until you plug a flash in. Then the D4pushes both the F no. And ISO up a couple or three stops!!

The DSLR's are not about point and shoot, and you shouldn't even caompre them to compacts. With a compact you can print the usual 10*15cm photos, not Panels like 2*3m as you can do it with a DSLR. The size of the sensor does matter or you think that the medium format cameras are as good as the compact ones to? If you just want to take some family trip pictures, the compacts are better, but with a DSLR you can produce art. The D300 is one? of the best cameras I've tried ever, if not the best.
