Weighing 163g and just a little larger than an iPhone, the Transcend Storejet 25F hard drive stores an impressive 500GB of on-board memory, not to mention a full suite of data-management software to boot.
Transfer speeds of up to 480MB per second are promised, as is stability courtesy of the four non-slip feet on the driveʼs base. Transfering 22GB of images in one go from a Power Mac G5 took just over 15 minutes, though the bundled software is only Windows compatible at present.
Verdict
Itʼs not the cheapest 500GB hard drive on the market, though as a portable and reliable option it fulfils its promise.
