The Olympus mju 790 SW (Olympus Stylus 790 SW in the US) features a waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof shell, a TruePic III processor, as well as Shadow Adjustment and Face Detection.
A 7MP sensor and 3x optical zoom are within, while a 2.5in HyperCrystal LCD sits in the redesigned rear. Olympus's standard choice of guide and scene modes feature, as does an ISO-based image stabilisation mode. Despite its macho image, it's a surprisingly light camera and doesn't compete for pocket space either. Though clearly constructed to be waterproof, it does so in a much more stylish and appealing fashion than similar models.
Image Quality
Noise control is very good with only ISO 800 and above show any significant noise while the Auto White Balance isn't bad, if a little inconsistent.
