Nikon Coolpix P500 Review

cannot see camera raw in file format, this is a must for me

just bought this, and I simply wanted an excellent all round camera for family walks and good pics of the kids etc along with some nice images for me. I wanted a great zoom, excellent and quickly engaged video, barrel zoom control, and a small compact and light unit. This is the one! Come on - I'm not a pro, but want crisp, quality photos that look great and which can be blown up if needed. And this does that. I wanted ease of use, with some good options, but a camera that did most (not all) of the thinking for me when I'm out and about. This offers that. I don't want a chunky camera that doesn't fit into my overcoat - this does fir and yet feels solid in teh hand. I've heard complaints about the battery life - but I'm not taking thousands of photos a day, and this camera (for my needs) keeps on going. Very happy with it. The oddest feature that i use quite abit is the smile ecognition. Catches my kids all the time. If you want a compact (pocket) camera that has it all, inclusing HD video, barrel zoom control, lovely quality, fantastic zoom, cool (non rounded) look and very ealy controls, look no further.

How can I get to the filter effects in this camera as stated on page 164 in ''Guide to the Nikon''?
