Nikon COOLPIX S9100 review

I own a S9100 as a great second camera that fits easily in my pocket. Startup is quick, at about 1 second, takes good shoots in poor light. Needs to be supplied with battery charger, as charging in camera is a pain, otherwise a useful take anywhere piece of kit.

just changed from tz7,after having it stolen.so went for s9100,upto now i am dissapointed with my shots,and not as simple to use as the tz7,maybe my fault..if the tz7 had a more robust lcd screen i would have gone back to it..two faild on me ,very fragile

Sits easily in my shirt pocket, it points and shoots, if I need to think a bit it thinks along with me. Who needs PASM and RAW for travel zooms. Oh yes and it takes great pics for a compact. If you want A3 fine art prints its probably not for you.

Bought one at the airport on the way to holiday, after lees research than I normally do before purchase. Generally very satisfied with performance. Video MUCH better than my previous camera. Problems with night shots, otherwise it has performed well. Occasional problems of colour saturation. Overall very pleased.

Bought s9100 because it had a good speci but most disappointed 1st s9100 wouldn't down load photos the replacement when turned on froze up and could only be turned off by removing and replacing the battery have sent it back for refund. Nikon's reliability and quality seems to be lost - shame-.

I too have had quality problems with the s9100. The first one had an intermittent problem with blurred images and an error message "lens error". The replacement froze when turned on and could only be turned off by removing and replacing the battery.

Nikon the COOLPIX S9100 as having a ‘stunningly slim' body. If a person consider the fact with blurred images.

I have the intermittant focus problem on mt S9100,it wont focus at all. You have to turn the camera off & then on again & all is OK, but shot may be gone!
