Fujifilm F70EXR review

The Good: Style, Price, build quality, ease of use, features, noise control, zoom range and above all else; Image Quality which for a compact is excellent. The Bad: No orientation sensor, no HD video, loss of focus during video zoom, clicking of zoom action audible upon playback,the LCD does'nt do the camera justice, poor battery life (about 230 photo's) so a spare battery would be needed for lengthy trips,poor placement of mode dial and pro focus is great when it works but sadly it's more miss than hit. The Ugly: 93% which is over-rated, highlighted by the score for the F80, 88-90% more like.

Purchased this camera based on this review and I am very disapointed with the camera! I have a 8 year old Olympus Muju 410 and in my opinion the image quality, zoom and ease of use is far supierior in the old Muju. I was expecting a lot more of the Fuji F70, you have to take on average 4 of the same shots to get a decent one. While EXR sometimes works it more than often gives a bad image. Will be looking at other new cameras to replace this disapointing purchase!

I must assume Jon has a faulty F70 because I find it almost impossible to get a bad image when I use the camera on EXR Auto. I bought a refurbished F70 for LESS than £120 delivered in 48 hours from the Fujifilm UK online shop and it is indistinguishable from brand new. This is one GREAT camera and at the price, a real steal!

Jon again. Not a faulty F70 according to retailer. I am getting so annoyed with this camera, you only get one chance for some photos and this camera misses it more than often. I am getting sick of blurrie images when. Also worth noting I have complained in writing to Fuji on multiple occasions and to date I have heard nothing. Does not say much for their customer services. I have my honey moon next year and will not risk this substandard camera missing any once in a lifetime shots. I will buy something new I can trust. As Fuji do not seem interested my F70EXR will be on ebay with 2 x batteries, charger and carry case. My review this camera is not good, avoid at all costs!!

jon I agree with your everyword. my fuji e550 takes brilliant lifelike photos. What you see is what you get. I hate using the fuji f70. The photos are always fuzzy.

Sorry to say this but can we trust What Digital Camera's reviews. This camera is not fit for purpose. I want my money back. And I don't mean the £3.99 I mean the £163.00!

Dear Cliff Smith I bought a FujiF70exr this year following your glowing review of it How can you say the images are pin sharp corner to corner? If you examine any landscape image taken with this camera you will not find any areas in focus. The strange thing is, putting the camera on a tripod and viewing the scene on the screen, every thing is indeed in focus. It is not until you press the shutter halfway down that it all goes blurry. I have sent this camera back to Fuji twice. The first time they adjusted the focus, the second time it was returned with instructions on how to use unsharp mask. Please promise me you will be a little more thorough when carrying out reviews. I see I am not alone in buying this camera following your review. If you still think this camera is good you can buy mine at a bargain price. I await you offer with baited breath Yours faithfully Mr P Brooks

On reading the review I was ready to fork out for this camera hands down. Glad I read the reviews I'll now read another web site reviews as this one seems out of touch with people who actually forked out their money

I have an F80 (F70 + HD video) and I fully agree with the majority of the comments above. ALL of my pictures are either grainy or fuzzy. I haven't taken a decent one yet. For some unknown reason I sold a (superb) Canon A710S and replaced it with the Fuji F80. Biggest mistake of my photographic life! Any comments from "what digital camera"? Any offers for my "great value" camera?

I follow your guild and bought an F70EXR, your were not right about this camera.your absolutely fucking spot-on everything this camera's abillity..there's only one thing I can say and that is Thank You for your review.. Suddenly all my friends want me to take their photos for them..

Hello, I found photos grainy but with a little work and setting up the manual setting got great results keep trying dont use auto what ever you do turn down the iso.
