If you’ve got a modestly sized digital SLR kit with two or three lenses, a flash and a smattering of accessories then chances are you’ll want a bag, in which case Tamrac’s Adventure Messenger 4 fits the bill.
Although fairly compact, the well-padded interior holds a surprising amount of gear, with zipped pockets on the top, front and rear, plus smaller pockets at either end expanding its capacity further.
Additional features include Tamrac’s ‘piggy back pocket’, which lets you slip the bag over the handle of a rolling suitcase, and two accessory loops on the tough shoulder strap for adding pouches from the S.A.S (Strap Accessory System).
The Adventure Messenger 4 is available in red/black and grey/black, but the ‘urban’ camo/black finish shown will look least like a camera bag to the opportunist bag-snatcher.
