Black and white photography is more than just desaturating the image and removing the colour - it's a whole art form in itself. There's a whole new set of skills to learn to achieve the best mono results.
This is book is aimed at those wanting to learn a range of techniques, with everything covered from capture advice, basic and advanced mono conversion, through to creative mono techniques and outputting for print.
The step-by-step guides are clearly explained and well illustrated, with clear differences between the start and end result. It's not just Photoshop-centric either, with techniques for Lightroom, Silver Efex Pro and mobile apps such as Snapseed.
There's plenty of really useful information in here and lots of techniques to try out on your own images. If you're wanting to develop your mono digital imaging skills, you won't be disappointed. This is a great book for the black and white photographer.
