Review of the Pentax Optio E30

Pentax Optio E30

Pentax Optio E30
www.pentax.co.uk A good specification at an affordable price makes the E30 an attractive option. It has a 7MP sensor, a 3x optical zoom and an ISO range of 80-400, which is slightly limited. There are 15 scene modes, which are preferable to the Auto mode, as it can be slow to take the shot. The design is pleasing and the camera fits ergonomically into your hand, with all the controls being easily available to the thumb. The 2.5in screen is hard to see in bright light, which can be a problem when shooting or reviewing images. The exposures are occasionally inconsistent with images having slightly more contrast than usual. Noise is present in images, but you shouldn’t have a problem printing an ISO 200 image to A4. The E30 has a host of other options including movie mode. What Digital Camera Score 79%
